i got this off a 1985 volvo 750 from the wreckers today. $12. i was just seeing if the cause of my dodgy cooling system is the expansion tank radiator cap. turns out that it was. possibly. this cars so unpredictable..
i cant seem to screw on the cap all the way on the genuine vw one becuase it just keeps stripping that bloody plastic thread on the tank.
i also might go back to the euro wreckers and ask about a new old engine for the gti. i took the oil filler cap off today while it was running and it was like i had just stuck my face next to the exhaust pipe. noise and everything.. sigh.
