Due to pick up my new GT TDi170 this thursday after a year in the 350z. Bit of a difference in motoring but looking forward to the better fuel economy. Had a Renaultsport Megane 225 before that. Nice car, but poorly built.
Was tempted to go back to the new R26, but after seeing the golf in the flesh my mind was made up. Didn't fancy the expense running an R32 or GTI so went for the sensible option instead. Getting it from Motorpoint in Derby. Looks like it has a few extras, centre arm rest, panasonic stereo, cruise control, rain sensor. (Don't know if these are supposed to be standard or not.) Got the remainder of the 2 year warranty with it being an import, but will probably look at extending it in the future.
Do i need to register it at my local VW dealer?
Probably going to have loads more questions so be prepared! I'm new to the VW scene.
