i,m still at it!

hi there yep i said im givin up on this car but its still here so i thought id take it for a run.
everything ok until 2 miles from home dead nothin just died on me so i thought petrol no! so i phoned rac and he thought rotor arm so it was replaced and still no,no spark so any help would be gratefully accepted oh if it helps there is positive feed up until the coil and then nothin oh and its a mk2 gti 8v 89er thanx

sounds like a coil pack problem, maybe wrong tho

ok but the nice man from the rac tried one of his but still no spark i was wondering if maybe my immobiliser was interfering but i have no idea when it comes to elecs

would a new coil solve this?

worth a try, if you are gettin power to the coil then nothing out of it, it has to be that component

So it's not the coil.

Check your earths, both the one off the rocker cover and also the main earth back to the battery.
