Surprised how the Astra Sri wasn't too far behind the DSG and looked quicker than the GTI.

thats not a uk astra sri im sure of it, the only one that has simular performance is the one that cant handle round corners, forgot what its called............... oh yeah  "the chaos theory" vxr astra  :sick: designed not for the family in mind with lack of doors option.

Well they did say it's 200bhp so it's the same power as an sri.

And the vxr goes round corners just fine, just hold on to the steering wheel and you'll be fine. And in terms of performance, the vxr is quicker than the GTI manual, DSG and the R32  :wink:

Well, the vxr does hold the record for it's class around the Ring and is the quickest hatch around the Top Gear track, so it can't be too bad!

Anyway, I hope your right in being glad to get back in the GTI since I'm awaiting delivery of one  :wink:

To be honest I quite like the VXR's,  just like the GTi better  :smug:

PS Well done on your choice ... you'll love the GTI ... no straightjacket needed for the GTi !!
