ah ok your running a k04? im just a k03s dunno what the qpeng k04 pipe is like, only 1 weld on the k03 and looks pretty good. It has a lambda hole for the pre cat which is just after the flexi bit after it joins to the manifold, seems a bit close to the engine for my liking but guess it will do the job. Will see what Mr MOT has to say about it  I've mapped out my post cat lambda dont think it will affect anything its just there to check the cat is working properly.

I like the look of that cat tshirt2k posted! would need to cut the flange off though like he said, it looks like what I imagine the Hoffmann cat would look like with sleeves welded on its ends, which is what I was planning to do :P If you go for it let me know what happens :)

Dont think the hoffman cat is 2.5". Would be a direct fit for the standard sytem which steps down to just over 2" IIRC. And its dearer.

I was looking at a Hoffmann universal cat on ebay for £109 thats 2.5"

Was unsure about the quality for the price but have been told there good?

Thought you meant the direct fit one. They are all around the same price. But they will still need fabriction to fit depending where the downpipe finished in comparison to the exhaust. I thought about using one of these and although i could have done it, i didnt fancy all the messing about under the car and making more flanges etc.
Youll need to buy a length of pipe and connectors. Which could add upto £50. Plus welding. I added it up and got the 42 Draft design one as it was cold at the time.

All depends on if you can fabricate yourself or how much extra it'll cost to get it fabbed up.

Yeah will need a bit of modding, but with the qpeng downpipe having a non flanged 2.5" end and my exhaust also having 2.5" was thinking all I'd need to do was weld on 2 sleeves 1 on each end slightly bigger than the outter diammeter of downpipe/exhaust and just slide it on and hold it with clamps. At least I'm hoping thats all I'd need to do  :p
