Right here goes, my golf started making funny creaking noises when pulling away and turning, this developed the other to knocking noises. it only happens when the car is under load, slowing down no noise, turning with clutch down no noise.
got someone to look at it on the ramps and couldn't find the problem.
he said best to let the problem develop a bit then have another look.
right not sure if this is related. but last night driving along M5 when all of a sudden my steering decided to have a mind of its own. i had to fight it to gain control using all 3 lanes before pulling up on hard shoulder. checked pant and rang the rac.
he came had a look played power steering belt wiggled the steering wheel and was a bit better but happened again on hard shoulder, so towed me home.
after explaining noises to him he thinks might be worn diff
