Electric window switches.
« on: 08 April 2004, 11:13 »
Just had a look at my mates mk4 polo leccy window switches.

They look like they will fit in my mk2 dash surround (where i would prefer them to be).

Does anyone know if i can use mk4 polo leccy window switches as my mk2 leccy window switches coz mine feel jammed.

Are your windows standard fitment or after market?  Would your mate be willing to let you prise the switches out of the dash so you could have a look at the connectors on the back?

you can use ANY switches you like in theory from a car down the scrappers as long as they physically fit where you want to put them, just make sure you cut the plugs and an inch or so off the wiring loom from the donor car, that way you can crimp/solder the wires into your loom and use them!

one of mine is 'sticky'. I've got the rear window switch from a passat that lives in my center console, but it's got me foxed on how to wire it up  >:(

I think I need a couple of relays in there somewhere.

I ain't really fused. I plan to wire up my other switch once I've figured out the wiring.
