Modded Digi tuning
« on: 11 March 2008, 19:31 »
Just wondering if my 91 Digi needs tuning due to some basic mods that have been carried out. Complete s/s exhaust, k&n panel filter, super 4 plugs, 8mm ht leads. Due to these slight mods will she need setting up as performance is less than i expected. My old 88 standard Digi was faster and she has 182k, my new Digi only has 111k with these mods?

To be honest the exhaust and filter will help to free up some top end power, but not much to be honest  :lipsrsealed:, if she doesn't seem to be running right check out rubbjonny's tuning guide in the mk2 maintance section. If you want to make it respond quicker to throttle inputs try keeping the revs above 4k , watch the fuel though

For the direct link

I've been reading about a mod you can do to the afm that is meant to remove some of the lag by richening up the fuel mixture
Don't know if it's recommended though.
Plan to do it soon and see what's what

It can't be used to override a poorly set up car so get that sorted first
