Radiatior fan not working & fuse blowing
« on: 11 March 2008, 16:59 »
Hi,

I have disconnected the fan plug, The fuse is still blowing. I also have The temp warning light flashing on the dashboad constantly. Fan work fine by directly wiring to battery. Blades turn fine. Also have no hot air in the car.

Any help greatly appreciated.

You are waiting long enough for the fan to kick in? Is there a temp sensor in the coolant to make the fan kick in? :/

Infact, if the fuses i blowing, and the fan works fine, and the gauge read the temp and lights up, maybe its just some shagged wiring somehwere, which is shorting the fuse! not making the fan kick in as a result, but still reading the temp from the seperate curcuit???

i have a problem with my fan and temp gauge
the temp gauge shows no movement
after about 20 mins running the temp light starts to flash
and the fan does not work
is the fan motor knackered or is it a sensor somewhere
