Aircon removal - Mk4

Now then guys,

Is it possible to remove the Aircon completely and just f**k it off??

will the car still run spot on?

i would imagine you could. cant see why not. might be a mess about though.

never read of anyone doing it to a dub but people do it all the time on the surf website.  :smiley:

It is possible, but depending on which model you have if you remove the compressor you will need to change the ribbed belt and possibly some of the pulleys.

I had to change two belts and the water pump pulley on my Mk3.

Can i take out the air con controls and fit climate control straight into its place?

Or is there other things i would need to do?
