emmisions test

ok car is in for mot on wednesday but did an emmisions test today jsut make sure it would pass on that. the only thing that worries me is it struggles to get through unless its absolutly boiling hot. i know they have to be hot anyway but you really gotta give it some to get real hot to get the emmisions down. its the co2 thats givin me problems. it gets frequent oil changes and recently had all filters replaced.
is there a possible need for a tune up or somthing
