Thanks all.

Is this something you can do at any point in a car's life or should you start early on? Ie, if I was to have the car 'normally' valeted / cleaned for the first year is there any point in detailing it later?

Once you start detailing it do you have to keep on re-doing it? And how often?

Thanks

M

most people will never bother. i think a good way of explaining it is CAR OCD lol. i have this bug. any little bit of muck or scratch inside or out does my head in untill i sort it out. i even have the air con sat at the same temp on both sides as it does my head in if there not the same   i bet a few others do this  :lipsrsealed:

Mr M   You can start at anytime in the cars life, even dulled paintwork can be restored to a great degree, if you keep a maintenance program up, then the car should always look tip top, but it also comes down to how much wedge you are prepared to pay out !!

Most suggest an initial intensive detail, then depending on usage and storage conditions will depend on how often you feel the need to have a re application

But look at what you get at the end of those 3 days.

Chances are though the fact your even asking aout detailing means you care enough about your car to not let it get into that bad a condition.

I wouldn't be to happy about him jet washing my engine bay though, in my opinion thats a big no no.

Pardon my ignorance, what actually *is* detailing, what does it do, how is it different from standard cleaning?

Thanks

M

Women clean houses but men detail cars.
That's the only difference mate.
