Hi, does any one know if a vr6 rear spoiler will fit on any mk3 golfs? are they a standard size? Thanks Chloe

They are although only the GTi & VR6 have the correct rear glass with the holes for the mounting screws.

For smaller engined models you'd have to either swap the glass or just use a high adhesive silicone like Sikaflex.

If you havn't already got one I've got one for sale too! :wink:

what he said^^^^..... either bond (and you'll need to remove the bolts first tho.. simple hacksaw will sort them) or go for a driver spolier which are glued..not bolted

Thanks for the replys, its actually for a 1.4 so i think il have a problem with getting on , might look bit dodgy with glue. :sad: Do you think it would be best to leave it off??  :rolleyes:


eightyeightmph is yours a bolt on or glue? how much would you want all together with postage?  :nerd:

Best way to put gti spoiler on 1.4? I want to use glue, easier than getting new glass with bolt holes; but which glue is best to use? I heard that araldite cracks the glass ... glue suggestions ...

dont mind posting it tbh, just make me an offer, you would need to either cut the bolts and bond or get some glass with the holes in  :wink:
