Hello all this is my first time here and post so what i want toknow is whats a mk3 vr6 like and allso do youknow ofanygoing aroundfor sale for around the 3-4k mark must have leather or ill swap a vr6 for my 1994 325i coupe any one ?

Vr6 = fastest mk3, most expensive mk3, high insurance premiums alot higher than a 16v mk3 even tho there the same insurance group.

0-60 - 7.4secs
max speed = 140mph ish

V6 engine probably costs more to service than a normal 4cylinder.

Black_Gti's figures are right but,

Insurance is not too much higher, i found it was a extra ?100.

Service is also slightly higher, but there's no cam belt to change so you save a bit there.

But yeah costs are more.  I'd say take a GTI and add 10 - 20% on everything.

However it is completely worth it as they are great.


A VR6 isn't a way of life, it's just a car.

i got my vr6 now 90 quid more a year than my bmw325i so im happy with that
