mk2 1.8 20vt conversion

my gearbox has just gone on my golf :( so im looking into getting my baby converted to a 20vt but i haven't really got the skill to do it myself. if anyone knows of anyone that do the conversion for a good price could you please let me know.

Passat B5.5 2.3 V5 170, with all the extras.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

i dont know where but the conversion is around 5 grand on average!

might be cheaper to change the gearbox lol

Since I saw the youtube on the other thread I've dumped my VR6 conversion idea and decided to go for a 20VT eventually. So Guess I'm stuck with the 1.6 for a little while longer. (unless she dies then I'll try get a 16V GTi)

Just finishing my 20v conversion myself and has cost just under £3k.

you can do these conversions yourself for approx £1500 and thats just a running engine. then you have the brakes to sort.

That turbo looks like a bolt on job on the gti mk2 engine   :laugh:
