I test drove the Megane R26 F1 about a year ago and found it so dull! The acceleration is just to linear, so you don't actually feel as though your gaining speed very quickly although you obviously are. Also hated the gear change and the cabin layout. The dealer who came with me was disappointed with my views so I offered him a test in my VXR, which he accepted. He loved it and off the record agreed that day to day the Astra was much more fun than the Megane.
But, mention anything to a Megane owner and all they ever bloody say is "yeh, but we'd have you in the twisties". I've learnt that the word 'twisties' is a Megane owners favourite word. ZZZzzzzzzzzzzz
