Luxury Pack on 2008 builds
« on: 08 March 2008, 11:31 »
Hi gang,

Pick up the ED30 on Monday and wanted to check one thing. I’ve gone for the Luxury pack option which gives you folding mirrors, dipping passenger mirror on reverse & rear reading lights. I was hoping it also came with the puddle lights in the wing mirrors.

There used to be 2 Lux packs in the options list, now there is only one.

Does anyone with an ’08 build have this option... if so... does it have the puddle lights?

Any advice welcome... Hotrod

I dont think its do able

but will find out on monday for sure.

There certainly wont be an after market lux pack so each bit would need to be done seperatly.

VW Parts Prices + VW Labour costs = Loss of limbs!!

Wouldn't be worth the hassle and the effort mate unless you picked up all the parts dirt cheap and you could fit them yourself; would akin to  converting a manual A/C car to one with Climatronic - cheaper and easier to buy a car with Climate in the first place

The folding mirrors were one of the options I missed on my TDI. The mirrors don't fold in as far as some other makes, but far enough to avoid anyone knocking them when passing in their cars

The puddle lights were an added bonus as I didn't realise they were unique to the options list.

Reverse dipping mirrors never get used as I tend to use the rear camera. They do come in useful for extra high pavements though

vw_sales & Hurdy,

Many thanks for the prompt & concise answers... I’m very pleased. In the new VW sales material it’s not mentioned anymore.

Cheers buddies... Hotrod
