Need two mods to insure me ...
« on: 07 March 2008, 08:20 »
hey

Got my insurance sorted for the gti, strange thing is hey need me to do at least two mods to the car, going to pick up a k&n panel filter today. Was looking into angel eye headlights but i dont have 160 lying around after blowing over 1k on insurance. Can anyone reccommend aonther relatively cheap mod? have to have them done within a week and im strapped for cash

or does anyone have something they want to sell? head lights etc?

Thanks

Rich :afro:

Why not a VR6 splitter? Or a new headunit of ebay or something similar where you can get them cheap!!

I guess technically it would class as a mod, cos its different from the standard specification of the car. therefore modifying it, but as its also a standard vw part rather than an aftermarket im not so sure. I have a k&n panel filter and its great. sounds brilliant!!! what about lowering springs for 50 odd quid that could be an idea? what insurance is this that you neeed two modifications? sounds bit strange

lower it and fit a panel filter.... mines on a modified car policy with all mod's declared.... and it was cheaper to insure like that than a standard car!

Because some insurers will see you as someone who cares about your car and not just drive it around with no regard for it or anyone elses.
