low power
« on: 06 March 2008, 21:46 »
I've noticed on my 16V that when i start it either first thing in the morning or in the evening after work the wipers are slow and headlights are dim. once i pull away and the revs get past 2000rpm you can see the lights kick into to life and the wipers speed up......any ideas...?

Sounds like you should look for a new alternator! Go to Halfrauds and get them to do a free battery check. They should tell you that the battery isn't getting enough from the alternator

alternator may have to wait as my rad went on me this morning......picked a new one up from Eurocar parts for £53....should i replace the thermostat too when doing the rad or can i re-use..??.....can wait to do that this weekend with the weather forecast we've had
