Dodgy Electrics Mk3 GTi

Just a quick question guys and gals , when i've got my headlights on and then press the switch to put my electric window up or down the headlights dip and the engine also seems to stutter..........Anyone got any ideas what this could be ? Thanks in advance

Sounds like you're battery isn't holding charge too well? Is it getting on abit? Apparantly they only last a couple of years these days!

Cheers mate , have had the golf for 3 years now and never changed the battery so it may well be that . Thanks 88
