hello 2 all

got this problem: rear lights sometimes get all f****d up. press brake and indicators come on instead of brake lights, turn indicators on and nothing happens!!

i played about with the block connection in the nearside cluster and when i moved it around the lights worked properly. when i pushed the block completely back into the connector the lights went back to messing about again.

im thinking the internal metal bits in the block are rusted etc, but how the hell would i clean them??

any ideas folks? please!!

thanks
bf

Have this exact problem every now and again! water is getting into the connector block some how and rusted the ground pin. To fix it i just scrape the pin a bit with a small screwdriver gettin most of the rust off, isnt going to last much longer tho as the pin is about to snap!!

  • Back in a Mk3...
first thing is to stop the leaking... new seals are avalible for original lights (but not aftermarkets) and use a small screwdriver and some wd40...should clean up ok
