Eibach coilovers

Well ive been debating what to do suspension wise for a while now and have finally bitten the bullet today and ordered a set of Eibach pro street s coilovers. i eventually went the coilover route as i wasnt sure if springs would give the improvement in ride i was looking for and i also was not sure if any of them would drop low enough for me.
I have run coilovers in 3 of my last 4 cars and have always been impressed with them, so hopefully in a chassis as good as the mk5's they should be spot on.
i'll post some pics and info hopefully tomorrow if they arrive.

i run em on mine..done 13000 miles with them on and whilst the ride does firm up, you soon get used to it...it doesnt crash at all, and it handles brilliantly.

essential mod in my eyes.

i also added the eibach 12mm spacers to the rear..so its now a bit lower and a bit wider..fill the arches nicely and no rubbing even when full of people and driven in anger.

i have them on mine with eibach roll bars and the way it handles is unreal. no body roll and just pure power into and out of corners. i have a bit of an issue with rubbing as im a bit too low now they have bedded in on the front as there is a screw inside the arch which rubs on the tyer but il sort that this weekend and take pics  (best mod yet, even after remap)

Block, are those 18s? Any rubbing?

looks good, youl have to raise it up abit once they have bedded in otherwise youl be running on the arches. mine have dropped another 20mm since fitting.

20mm bloody hell , i didnt think they would settle that far, i was thinking more like 5mm.
At the moment the rears are wound right down and the fronts have about 3 threads left, this leaves me with 11mm between tyre and arch front and rear which is about where i want it i'll just wind them up to suit as it drops.
yes there 18's btw.

Opinions so far after a trip to tescos for the weekly shop are that the ride is hardly any worse than standard if at all, but when you push on it they contain the body roll and dive miles better and just seem to grip the road more all round, its hard to describe but im very impressed. Oh and it never rubbed once even at that height.

I'll try and get some more technical pics up today when i get chance to park it somewhere flat.

Btw has everybody on here with coilovers needed to have them 4 wheel aligned?
Im only saying cos mine drives perfectly the steering is still at the straight ahead and when we fitted them the only adjustment we could see was on the steering track rod ends, the rest is fixed.
Im thinking 4 wheel alignments are a dealer con at most i think a normal tracking check would be fine in about a week when its settled, and even then i cant see them actually needing to adjust anything it would be more for my peace of mind.
