He could try all his life still won't do it and only kill his poxy french can in the process!! Yours is a power lump for autobahn cruising, sitting at 125 for a few hours and not miss a beat. Your motor is probably about 60% more weight than his, and even full up you'll still beat him!! Still he can always console himself in the macdonalds car park afterwards!!!
Put a nice filter system on it, use good oil, new plugs work well(multi prong) new fuel filter, an exhaust system will only give a few more horses on it - just frees up the speed of the revs(helps drop off quicker)as less backpressure. Keep on top of the maintenance and it will serve you well, good tyres and brakes are never cheap but one day you'll pray you've got them!
