A cliche I know, but that car really is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. Easy 4-5k possibly 7-8k maybe even more if someone wants it that badly.

Many thanks for all the feedback - i will get some pics up this weekend for sure, i will try and figure out how to do that with the help of my five year old - being totally new at ANY forum i guess i should have known to put a picture on. Rubber is fine with time so long as its dry and not exposed to UV - (thanks to Alan Day's VW for that) btw The golf does have a full service history. Yea, I have been very lucky i know, first lucky thing that's ever happened though - it must be all plain sailing in life from now on then i guess.

If you are definitely selling then get it looking smart, get as many pics as possible and write up as much detail as you have as a start.

On the one hand ebay is very good at potentially generating the real market price (or well over the real price!) but it also has down sides in the number of foolz you may find!

Seeing as a fairly solid sensible mile 3dr 16v is now easily at 3k, where does that leave yours?!

Another option could be to do a deal with one of the common mk2 traders - commission based sale perhaps?

Very pricey, but looks like they sell quality motors.
