Mater that is a crying shame some people out there dont deserve to live.

re scrapping the car you can notdo this now unless you have a full logbok the green slip will not do. best thing would be to send off the slip to the dvla yourself as that is proof of ownership and they will send you a new v5 in about a week on the green slip.

If you can I would strip it yourself as you can legally do that as you are the owner of the car.

only breaking for profit is illegal unless you have  the correct licences. ie buying the car to break it, yours has been damaged and selling the bits on to recoup your money is legal in the eyes of the enviromental agency

regards Robin

I agree to break it... i did with my last poorly gti and it's paid for all the mods on my current one.... you just need the space and time to strip it!

I'd probably make more money stripping it myself, I don't really have the time, space, and TBH, I just want it gone now. I'm thoroughly pissed off with it all.

Tough break, never nice to have to deal with something like that.

Good luck with the breaking/selling.

I'm in Luton. As far as I know the door cards are ok, certainly ok on the drivers side. I'd sell the interior as a whole as it's all leather. I think I might Ebay it bit by bit and let buyers strip the parts they win.
