Best company to fit cruise control

I have a 2003 1.8t and am wanting CC but dont know where to go to get it except dealer.  I live in West yorkshire.  Can anyone help.

whatever you do don't go to the dealer, i think the dealer near me quoted £250 to fit it

i got a specialist to do mine, and I'm sure you'll be able to find one round your area.

yea, awesome do it for 150 mate, or you could do it yourself.....

Foxy's webpage has a good walkthrough on it altho I havent got the link at the mo but if you search for it on here you will find it

LOL just rang these guy's www.colingunning.co.uk and asked how much to supply and fit cruise control on my TDI... ..
He said "i've never been asked that before"  :rolleyes: "i woulnd't touch it", changing all the switches etc lol i said to him its all there just need's fitting, pluging in and turning on by VAGCOM  :nerd:
He didn't want to know!! grr
Will phone a couple of stealers and see what they quote.  :shocked:

i had the exact same from a local specialist, i even printed out the instructions and showed them, they didn't want to know, so i went elsewhere

my engine code is ATD, will this be a "drive by wire" lol what ever that is?
will it be straight forward to do??

Well!! spoke to one VW dealer who wouldn't do it!!  :shocked: now waiting for a call back form one other VW dealer to get price lol £70 i said.   :wink:

my local stealers (Lookers) advertise the kit + fitting for about £150, which seems a good price, but...

i did mine myself the other day, the kit was about £70 from the stealers and contained everything needed

it took me an afternoon to do and there were no problems

ps. i believe all TDIs are drive by wire, plus are already half wired for cruise control from the factory (unlike the 1.8T)
