Attention Mk4 modifiers.....
« on: 06 April 2004, 14:50 »
...I have just been speaking to a very helpful guy based in Norwich who I think will be a very useful contact for us all here.

I made contact with him as he was advertising a set of proper RHD black headlamps for the MK4 on ebay. I missed the ones that were for auction, but have bought some from him, as he had a few sets in stock.

After he processed my order (very quick and efficient) we got chatting, and he told me that he exports most of his VW bits in very large quantities (mostly to the states). In terms of the bits, we're talking R32 bodykits 4motion rear valances, R32 steering wheels, inerior (aluminium) dash kits, gearknobs, anni wheels (18" BBS's) etc etc etc.

Bearing in mind these are the most popular non-engine mods on here right now, I figured this guy would be a useful chap to know - especially when he told me some of the prices that he charges. This guy exports in massive quantities and buys direct from VW, so its unlikely you'll buy cheaper.

I've invited him on here to introduce himself and run through in more detail what he has/can source and pricing information, but in the interim his contact details are below:

Jeremy Lear 01603 722583 or 722597

His website is currebtly under construction and will be up soon.

If you are planning any mod to your Mk4 give this guy a call - he knows his stuff, he's a friendly guy and his prices are great. Just remeber to let him know that you're from GolfGti.co.uk!

His website has been under construction for a very long time  ;)

Starry, I think he has one set left (he did when I spoke to him this afternoon) at ?149 inc VAT, plus ?11 next day postage. He is expecting another shipment next week I believe, so if you miss out this time it won't be too long a wait until he has some more. Mine should arrive tomorrow, so I'll let you know what they're like.

Gary, yes it is Jeremy from OEM parts, and I believe he has R32 steering wheels in stock - he didn't quote a price, but based on everything else he quoted, I reckon you'll be looking at a proper bargain.

Dont get an R32 gearknob as it has 4motion on it.
You would be better with an R Line knob like mine which is the same but without the 4motion.
