Hi all

Just a quick "hi" to intro myself .. in Adelaide Australia .. getting my GTI in about one week (we get ours from South Africa). I was a bit annoyed at having to wait four weeks to get it, but it appears some of you lads and ladies in blighty wait for MONTHS - so I don't feel too bad at all. Have already read up on what checks to make when picking up the new car .. so will be back in here to post some pics and get further information. Great site!

Welcome Phil,

Get yourself over to the MKV section (if you haven't already). Plenty of great guys over there including a few Aussies :cool:

Yep .. been there .. been to garage as well looking for BRANDS of synthetic oil that will do the job. A few people have stated via search which brands they use, but I can't seem to find a thread .. am I missing something?
