no it doesn't show them before, but once the new map is uploaded you can then access the fault code menu. you can also use it to immobilise your car if you are going to leave it for a while, even if some scumbag gets your keys, they wont be able to start it!

Only thing that put me off the Bluefin was that you get a "paired" set of maps. The standard and power maps are paired up to stop you from using it for anybodies car. This also has a downside - when you take the car to the dealers and they do an update on the ECU, it means that the maps become "non-paired" and so you cannot swap them over again. This in turn means linking back up with the Superchips site over the web every time this happens to pair them up again.
   APR do their remaps separately as individual entities via the cruise control and so when you take it to the dealers, you simply swap back to the stock map and let the dealers do what they want with it and it doesn't affect the power map.

Don't know where the guidance for that comes from but i'm sure someone will explain in more detail.

....Nope, it's 300 ft lb / 400 Nm recommended max for DSG. You can go for more but the more you push the envelope the more stresses there will be. Beware of tuners who offer more.

takes 20 mins to send the new map to superchips, not a problem in my opinion. i dont know why everyone seems to have a downer on bluefin, its one of a bunch of maps out there, i'm sure if we all looked hard enough they would all have a downside somewhere. the reason the maps are paired is to stop one person buying one and then selling it on for next to nothing, you cant really knock superchips from taking steps to stop that. i'm sure all of the other remaps are brilliant, i just liked the bluefin version and havn't been disapointed. if i buy another vw audi seat skoda, i can send my unit to superchips and have it reset for £350 and use it again on my new car,cheap remap

I don't really have a downer as such on the Bluefin (my last 4 cars had Superchips!). This time I just went for something that I thought was a little more practical.

My tuner is now an agent for both Bluefin and Revo but has a preference for Revo. It's not so much a question of the quality of each as a drive but the way the systems are designed as far as I can understand it.
