i drive an ex post office LDV van (through poverty rather than choice)  and one f the local gypsies has just bought one too. i am now regularly getting flashed and waved at by the piky division which i find pretty amusing!

I've only ever had one friendly MK2 owner flash and wave to me. I get the feeling the MKIV and MKV owners down here are too up their own arses to flash or wave anyway. Just a different scene I guess.

South west is obviously quite good for this then.... i get waves from about 50% of the mk2 GTI population

Yea same ere, south west seems ok for it.  But on a visit to rochdale i had some chav literally almost fall out his window with enthusiasm...  If they dont flash back, blind em the next time!!
