Private Reg Plates

Looking at getting meself a new plate.

Which would you choose out of these:

VW55 DUB

MK55 DUB

X3 DUB


MK55 TAZ


Taz is what im known as locally but i like the V-Dub   :cool:

Dub plate will be pricey!. Taz plates are quite cheap in comparison.If its a plate your gonna keep, go with the one that you will always relate too. ie, dub plate is no meaning if you ever left the brand.

All those plates listed above are under £500  :smiley:

I like the DUB plates because they relate to the car. The bad thing is "Z" is not available on the old style plates  :cry:

£500 is alot of dosh, you can do alot with that!. i spent £250 for mine, means bugger all to anyone else but has meaning to My darling wife and I.

waste of money, seriously, you'll be bored of it in a few years, use the money for something more exciting!

I have to say I dont always agree with plates being a waste of money. I paid ALOT of dosh for mine and I'm very confident it will probably double in value over the next 5-10 years... so over the long term I am convinced its quite a good investment, bearing in mind there is no capital gains to be paid :wink:

In the mean time i get to enjoy it :grin:

I paid £699 for VW05 RED on my red one and still love it after 30 months.

I paid £0 for mine as the previous owner swapped his GTI for an evo and left VW 05 DSG on the GTI, I then had it transferred onto my ed30, recently had the reg valued at £1250!!!!!  :shocked:
