Then I started stripping the bay. Off come the boost pipes, rocker cover and inlet manifold amongst lots of other things:

Removed parts. Going to tidy up the inlet manifold and rocker cover tomorrow, so its ready for the sprayer to collect.

Will be getting the throttle body welded up, I removed one of the hose connections on it, should tidy it up a little. Then will need to spray that or tidy it up in some way.

I took lots of measurements of all the pipes I want to replace, so should be making my order this week. Will be adding a few more to my list this week and double checking what I need. Once I get my rocker cover/manifold back on, I will start to re-route the wiring. Can't wait!

Thanks guys. Yeah exciting times. Will be ordering some new coilies this week and getting some stainless rings made up and copper grease them up before fitting.

While I'm waiting, I'll prep the bay and plan that out better, wire in and fit the boost gauge and wack on my new tdi driveshafts.

More updates to follow!

Should be better with the stainless rings :) mine was jammed the other day when i went to lower it abit more and i was smacking it with a chisel and i've pretty much destroyed them :D and howcome you're going for new driveshafts? won't you have to change the hubs too or are they the same fitment?

+1 looking forward to seeing it :afro:

Dan

Oh f**k! Forgot about those Jamie! Sorry Jamie! Will sort them out today bud!

Red, white and blue baby. There are few LL touches to follow though

Cheers Dan, yeah should be, ali on steel plus grit and water is a fail.

Driveshafts are lying about, just hope they fit the hub. I have Mk2 16v shafts and hubs on there now and an 02A box.

I might be wrong but stainless rings on alloy might not be a good combo

Just an FYI, but my weitec kit came with PLASTIC rings

I don't think a semi will give the same results
