Just spoken to Lindvale VW, Essex, they advise that all GTI Edition 30s have now been built, the production run has come to an end. 

Essentially - get one while you can!

all dealers say different things and have different info. i went to backpool VW on sunday and was specking up an ed30 (had to seem interested for a testdrive in the demo  )

There are hundreds of orders on the VW system and as of today 27 feb 2008 at 14.45 you can still order an Edition 30.

Any Idea how many have been sold in the UK and whether they are limited to 1500 or not?

How do u know i work for vw, 

Basiclly each dealer has an allocation of Ed 30 they can order for customers depending on size of the dealership.

At the moment there are loads built about to be built and just ordered.

They are still accepting orders, ergo You can still order an edition 30.

As to numbers, its impossible to say.
