Clifford alarm
« on: 27 February 2008, 09:17 »
Hi guys,

Been and gone on here before, but now I'm back owning a MkII GTI. With a problem! It's got a Clifford alarm and immobiliser... but someone who shall remain nameless has lost the remote thing for it. So I can't start it!

Is there (he asks hopefully) any way of easily removing this, so I can get the thing started??

Cheers!

Richard.

you can do it without Cliffnet wizard, using the valet button. :) Cliffnet still needs the valet code anyway.

I have something to do with clifford in my mk3. There is a clifford red light thing and a double button on the dash, below the heater controls. But when i took the dash off, i found that the wires from these two things lead to nowhere, its just a bundle of wires! Does this mean there is some more stuff like this in the dash somewhere or can this be used for something???

The previous owner could have taken out the alarm maybe.

I have seen somewhere, a pic of all the useless clifford alarm crap that was in their dash, is this the same thing?

Cheers all,

LL ;)

btw, sorry for the topic hijack!

OK - have a code, it's a 3 digit one. Not sure if it's the right code, but it was printed inside the box, on the circuit board...

Can't find a code anywhere else! Assuming this is right, how do I enter it using the valet button (which seems to have two rubber buttons)?

Your help is much appreciated in getting this baby running again!

Rich.
