Need Some Help On Wheels For A GTi!!!
« on: 27 February 2008, 00:13 »
Hi,
I own a MK4 gti 1.8T..
Im looking to buy sum rims at the moment but im not sure what kind of offset is correct, so that it doesnt cause any problems for me. I've got an adjustable suspension: height adjustability of 35mm to 65mm.
At the moment i have the standard alloys (montreal II 16")

Can some1 please help as i am looking to change the alloys asap!!

Thanks

I'm not sure if they'll go on, TBH, as they will sink too much into your arches.  i.e. Et 15 wheels would stick outside your arches.

If they're PCD 5 x 112 (eg Mk5 Golf) then you'll need spacers to fit them, also.

No need to mess around with adaptors or spacers, just get the ones that are made to fit your car.

like these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BBS-CH-002-Audi-A3-TT-S3-Seat-8-5x18-NEW_W0QQitemZ310025804689QQihZ021QQcategoryZ28648QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

A bit 'Euro-style' wide for my liking, but they are a direct fit.
