Plus then when the inevitable drop-outs occur you might find some of the "audience types" will step up to the mark and do the testing etc. to keep the numbers up.

Weekend for me would be best.
Not sure about how much a track day is so I am bracing myself for the worst.
Not too bothered about being fed either.. We can always use our engines to cook something up
Would be nice to have a track to keep us entertained.

Im just preparing myself for the worst when it comes to telling my insurance company

- Best to save money for the day by not going for the 'official' catering. Bring your roadkill ovens, guys!

- Little circuit would be a bonus but not essential.

- Cost? Depends what's offered in return for our dosh.

- Weekday or weekend doesn't matter to me. Weekday slightly preferred as I'm more likely to be available.

- Take Bruntingthorpe's advice about numbers.

Last time I went there I was able to hire a helmet. What's the helmet scene?

1. Not bothered about food, will ask the missus to make me some sarnies
2. Is there such thing as a reputable, portable dyno that comes with an operator? A little circuit would be fun.
3. Depends on what you get for the day so am prepared to pay the going rate if its decent value for money.
4. Weekend preferred.
5. I'll bow to others experience on this.

Do we need to have any kind of special insurance for the day?

Do we need to have any kind of special insurance for the day?

Just go to google and type in track day insurance. There are dozens of providers.

Insurance for trackdays is essential. If I manage to get some form of track driving arranged then you will need it. If we end up doing performance testing only (straight line testing) then most people tend not to take out the extra insurance (although for peace of mind you still can if you want).

I would be up for it except for two minor issues;

1) Would need to take the SEAT disguise off.
2) It would be best part of a 1,000 mile round trip.

Sounds like it will be awesome though - Another one of those times I wish I stayed in middle England as there is just nothing like that up this way.

Will be interesting to see the results though :)

I would love to see some remapped Edition 30's get proven 160+mph.
