Got a reply from Bruntingthorpe today (e-mail) and they want me to give them a bell as they basically don't allow us to arrange our own day. They will arrange whatever we want for us (quoting health and safety reasons!), but I'm expecting it to cost a bit. I'll let you know when I do.

Right guys....as I said on page 1 it is a MKV performance testing day.

A few more questions for you all now.....and be serious

1. Do we want feeding and watering?
2. Besides the performance measures on page 1 - does anyone think we've missed something?
3. What price are we willing to go to?
4. Do we want a weekend date? (seems obvious to me, but others may prefer a weekday!)

Looking back at the postings we have 21 MKV car owners interested so far. I'm thinking about a maximum of 25 cars on the day as I know from past experience that 21 people interested can equate to less once dates, venue and price have been added into the mix.

5. Does 25 spaces sound okay?

I have 4 weekends in my diary free and would go for anyone (if they are available at Brunters) I'll not disclose them yet, but they are all between late April and early June.

1. Not bothered about catering personally, I think it will work out expensive
2. I went to Bruntingthorpe in the late 90'w with Jonathan Palmer (now at Bedfrod Autodrome) - is there any chance of a small circuit being devised?
3. see below
4. Weekend preffered
5. 25 would be ok . I think you would need to manage people's expectations about how much time they will get driving, this will affect how much I 'm prepared to pay. If we only have one runway and 25 cars trying to do a standing mile it might be one run per hour each?
Has anybody done this before (I've been to Curborough) with my Westfield with about 20 cars and was getting a run every 20 mins or so (3 per hour 12 or so in the day)

1. Also not bothered about catering.
2. Idea of a little circuit definitely appeals.
3. Well trackdays cost £120 +. I wouldn't be prepared to pay that for something like this - Thinking £50-£60??
4. Weekend very much preferred.
5. Not got a clue how many should be allowed.

To be honest I've got a completely standard GTI so for me the day is more about speaking to people about styling and engine mods, how much they are and who they use rather than blasting my car up and down in a straight line as I've no mods that will have changed the performance.

Perhaps you could offer two tickets - One for people who want to do the testing etc. Then a cheaper ticket for people who want to attend but not participate in the testing etc.

Hmm, an audience eh...interesting thought.
