How do I remove the trim on the outside of the handle?

Also where by on the door edge is the correct screw? Cheers for the replies guys.

I have painted my indicator bulb, and think have fixed my stoplights, a combination of no fuse! and dead bulbs.

Another problem ive yet to divulge is the lock ring being loose on my passenger side front suspension, Im hoping thats just the C-spanner spring bit, if so I can tighten that myself,

Im going to attempt to sort the headlight levels out this afternoon using a colleagues car.

Ger

Ok, ive fixed the indicator colour with nail varnish, got new bulbs and a fuse for my stop lights, re-aligned my headlights, ordered  door handle from ebay, fitted a locking fuel cap.

Ive book it in for welding and brake lines (circa £85)

I need to sort my suspension out (some lockin issue) gonnna take a gander after work, and need to fit that door handle, which is a little daunting.

honestly mate, the door handle is p*ss easy.

get a medium sized flat head screwdriver, push it into the gap between the trim and the side of the door handle nearest the lock barrel. lever out the trim, and that will reviel the screw on the outside of the car.

the inside screw is located just above the door catch mechanism, and its usually a big old crosshead screw thats aligned with the door handle, cant go wrong here mate.

un-do both screws, the door handle towards the front of the car slightly, and then pull outwards and there you go.

fitting is the reversal of removal. its not at all daunting in any respect, nothing needs aligning at all, it just fits together. really dont worry about it.

i would advise however getting some door armour plates off ebay. stops people pushing a flat head down teh top of the handle and unlocking your door... scarily easy to break into a mk2.

noble tuned - and still not fast enough!

i started a thread already dont worry. Solution is either green bulbs, or use acetone to untint the lights.
