Cruise control not working??

The cruise control isn't working on my '05 gti anymore!!
When I turn on the switch on the stalk the green light on the dash doesn't come on to say the cruise control is turned on.....
Could this just be a fuse or something simple?

Get it down the dealers pronto!

It could be something simple. In my last Golf I had cruise, but it just hadn't been "activated". It could be a simple reset. Either way the dealer needs to sort it for you

Funnily enough I got mine back from the dealer last week after fixing this exact fault. Symptoms were that either the cc wouldn't come on at all or would work for 5-10 minutes then switch itself off, not resetting until after you'd switched the ignition off and restarted the engine.

Dealer said that the switch on the stalk was at fault and this has been replaced. All is now well.

Looks like you need to get down to the dealer.

My cruise control works fine, yellow speedo symbol with a line on it comes up when you actually activate it but i dont have any green light telling me that it's switched on 

Could this be a revised thing since my car is a 2008 model?

Mine is the same mark just noticed it yesterday on a long drive cc not coming on at all, VW reliability issues again and i've just got the car back after 5 days.

Yea sorry lads,
Green/yellow never paid much notice to the colour until it stopped working,
Must've been yellow
