italvolanti steering wheel??

People i've just brough a momo steering cheap to replace the one on my 1990 16valver. The old one is a italvolanti one, black with a red 16v logo just to the right of centre. with two horn pushes left and right sides, was this an optional extra on my motor or from an earlier golf?? If its rare how much is it worth or should i hold onto it cheers, Rich.

it's not a VW part, just something someone has bought by the sound of it.

I've got one which sounds similar. Its also Italvolanti and is embossed with "GTi Engineering". Mine was all red but it was a little too garish so I dyed the rim black and left the centre red.

I paid either 16 or 18 quid on ebay a few months back, but I reckon that it was a bargain as they are rare and I intend to hold on to mine.
