You can lose oil through wear and tear such as worn piston rings but certainly not lose water. The only way water can leave the system is from a leaking rad, leaking hose, knackered heater matrix or a dodgey header tank cap. If they're all fine then the only other way is for it to sneak past the head gasket

Have you checked where you park up for water on the drive, and where it comes out if there is any?

just got back from garage, he said to keep an eye on it over next few weeks. Had a small amount of steam coming from bottom of rad so could need replacing, also got a collapsed breather pipe. The one that's fecked isn't even the correct type, someones previous bodge job....anybody know the part number..???



anyone got any comments on this

I bought that rad and it turned up last week, a week after buying it! Still not got round to fitting it to the car but it does look a decent rad from opening the box and taking a quick look

That's why i'm putting off putting my new rad on. Got a new intercooler and a Mocal 13 row oil cooler to go on at the same time ;)
