HAHAH, your not wrong, but i figure the mk4 1.8t is the same group as my 8v, and if i got one now, my insurance wont change.

So a 1.8t in a mk3? much difference?

Price of the policy. If my Mk3 8v is the same to insure as a mk4 1.8t

Puttin a 1.8t into my mk3. Would it affect the insurance greatly?

a mk4 will cost me another £62 to insure and I'm old!!...dont believe same insurance groups mean same price! try using confused.com and check it out
and you would need a specialist insurer that lets you modify your car...
