Hi Folks,
I know not an aweful lot about KJet GTI's as I've always had Digiphant ones, but while working on peels early MKII GTI we found something I was not sure about.
In the pic below you can see a clear plastic vacuum hose that isn't connected to anything.

As his MPG doesn't work on his MFA I assumed it was for that. So I plugged it into a little black hose that is poking out in the picture below. You can see it just above the 5th injector on the pipes coming out of the side of the inlet manifold.

This seemed the right thing to do as neither hoses were plugged. However this had a strange effect and when starting the car the revs were going up and down and it nearly stalled all the time. When nearly stalling the relay just above the air box in the pic below was clicking madly.

Once the pipework was disconected all was fine again.
Does anyone know what the deal is with these pipes? Surely them both being open ended is not correct?
