Pics of rear bumper / arches in Ed30?
« on: 23 February 2008, 20:24 »
I finally got my rear bumper/spoiler replaced today after my silly accident a few weeks ago.
The colour match is perfect - but when I was looking closely, I'm unsure if the inside is fitted properly.

I want to know if there is supposed to be a gap of about 2" between the bottom of the inside of the bumper and the black plastic of the arch (I dont know if that makes sense?!).
Its almost like I have a 2" shelf inside my arch for catching stones and dirt!

I'll post a pic tomorrow to show what I mean - but if anyone has a pic of theirs I'd like to see it!

Here are my pics...
Its kind of difficult to see what I mean!  If someone could have a look at this area in their car and tell me if it looks correct!!

that looks to me to be outside, as in the rough edged black lining should be hidden behind what looks like a plastic lip behind it(pic 3)
does that make sense.

I see what you're saying - but in JonnyG's pic it looks exactly the same... just not quite so ragged!

I think its just the raggedness of mine thats made me think it looks weird.  I'm sure it wasnt as bad as that before!  Its obviously how its supposed to be, so thats fine.

Thanks for the input guys - its put my mind at rest
