strange tapping noise when idle

i hav notice a  tapping noise after i top driving when my engine starts to idle . sounds like its coming from some where behind my footwell but in the engine bay . it also taps faster if i press accelerater . i have checked the oil thats fine any ideas ?

 Injectors ticking maybe??

Yeah maybe its nothing at all ...doesnt sound too serious bt can anybody else hear it on theres . it has been there since i owned the car but wondered if it was normal

Yeah i get a slight ticking with my 1.8T

Yea same, sounds tapety. But its totally normal on these. Like you said, as if the oil is very low.

yea mine does exactly the same, more like ticking rather than tapping and it changes speed with the engine.  Dont think its anything serious because mines always done it and ive seen other people talking about it on here.  Nothing to worry about mate

yeah it is the injectors, put a screwdriver on one and stick your ear the other end, its well loud lol.

o thats ok then, u put my mind at rest to i ask a non vw driver and they said it might be the bottom ends going, dont fancy buying a new engine at the moment

If its not the injectors its the charcoal filter on the left handside
