help anyone in the daventry/northampton area

hi guys has anyone in the daventry/northampton area got a spare header cap for a mk3 gti lying about in their garage/parts box as no shop can get me one till monday lunchtime and i need my wheels back asap.

have you been to GSF in daventry today?

Go to a scrap yard if they cant get you one, loads of different VW ones will fit

stole one from my a guy from  works car, hahahahaha, so glad his wiring loom melted cheers anyways. would have been gsf but i maxed out myfix it fund this month doing the head gasket. never seen your car abouts. who does your fixing round here, ive got so fed up with bodge it merchant garages i just did the headgasket/timing beltand a leaking core plug myself.

I've got one guy I trust to do my car and he's in Birmingham. He's a retired mechanic and he really really knows his stuff and does it all nice and cheap for me :D

do you know anyone looking to get rid of a mk3 gti 5dr as i took mine out on sunday, running sweet, but then a fuel pipe split and i could do nothing more than stand there and watch her burn! gutted but i want a new one to get ready for show season so if you know anyone give us a shout! cheers mate, budget around £700

Have you got 2 gtis? A min ago you wanted a header cap, now you said it burnt to the ground!?  :huh:

Unless you go to the £1000 mark you're going to end up with a mk3 1.8 driver i'm afraid!

I guess there are bargains... have a look on autotrader... most early 8v's are around 800 quid...

I got my 16v anniversary for 1100...

bound to be other bargains
