How Fast?
« on: 22 February 2008, 17:18 »
I fitted a carbonio induction system to my ED30 today which went very smoothly, even for me who has no mechanial skills whatsoever. I then proceeded to take her out for a big blast, I did notice a minimal improvement in sound and performance but anyway I'll get to the point. I am getting the stage 2 APR remap in a couple of weeks after I have a full milltek fitted and a new intercooler. This car is blindingly fast in standard form so Im wondering what it is actually like after the remap. I am calling for remapped ED30 owners to tell me how the car feels and what they compare it to

i've gone for bluefin on my ed 30, it has made a quick car into a very fast car, the pull in the midrange is fantastic now. on the motorway i keep going for another gear because the pull in 6th feels like you are in 4th! i'm just about to order a carbonio for mine, not sure it will make as much difference as the website suggests but worth a go. you wont be dissapointed after your remap thats for sure, let us know what you think once you've had it done.

T880MM is the APR stage 2 sorted yet, last time I spoke to Dean at Awesome, although they had a stage 2 file on their server he said he wouldn't advise installing it yet as APR were coming over in March to put the final touches to it.

I wonder if it will be available for DSG?

I think the torque limit may prevent a stage 2 DSG map  :undecided:
