for anyone interested the new 08 edition30s are coming out with updated ecu's, my 57 plate  was checked the other day and the code was different from earlier ed30s that had been in, this must have come from the factory, so all mapped ed30 going into dealers be aware that there is an update that may affect your map.

With regard to the private plates - I've had mine on the last 3 cars I've had and it just takes away the desire for the "new car at plate change" syndrome that I seemed to be getting

I've got E3 0 VW - or E30 VW - and left it off until 2 days before it expired to register it to my Edition 30 - last week.

I just got myself a private plate, initials RSC (lucky to have my middle initial as 'S' so it still looks like RussC), £250 all in from DVLA website direct, bargain IMO! Illyun that plate is mint! I guess you snapped that up before the ED30 was actually released? Good job you decided not to sell it with your first ED30!!

I got it straight from the DVLA last Feb for £599 - but never tried to flog it anywhere?!  Maybe it was a slightly different plate.

Just looked in my back copies of the VW driver magazine as I remember he had it advertised in there as well.
