Its my understanding that they cannot identify a remap unless they actually put it on a rolling road and see obvious power gains, so maybe thats why they kept asking the question rather than establishing it for themselves.

....My understanding is that they would have to send the ECU to Germany (probably Bosch) to be certain and that, once there, they would definitely be able to confirm a remap.

If your remap is switchable, like a Revo, you would be wise to switch to Stock for any dealer sessions anyway. My dealer knows about my remap but I still switch to Stock so their work is more reliable.

I take mine in for its first service on Monday, I have the switchable Bluefin map on mine so will be switching to standard for the service so that any ECU updates go smoothly, hopefully when I get my car back I can re-install the map without any problems. Robin - have you had any problems with your revo map not being in 'sync' with the ECU after a service update? I'm concerned that if it does receive an update then it may not be as simple as just re-installing it... :undecided:

....VW's update 24K6 gave some people problems. I didn't bother switching back after my 24K6 update and just went straight back to Revo who did the necessary (free of charge).

As I've already posted: Revo receive the updates direct from VW within days of the dealers getting them and so are able to produce solutions very quickly.
