Hi there
« on: 18 February 2008, 23:41 »
Well I finally have some pics of my golf looking vaguely respectable so thought I'd introduce myself - quality forum by the way  Have mainly been into aircooled vdubs (still have a '66 splitty pickup  ) but fancied something a bit quicker now I can afford the insurance. After driving my mate Alex's mk2 16v (classic16v on here) last summer I decided thats what I'd aim for and picked one up locally a few weeks back...

Done 127000 miles and came with full mot :) The pictures make the paint look a lot better than it is  but never mind. Have done quite a few mods- put coilovers on it and fitted my G60 steels that were on my Jetta, single headlight debadged grill, crystal lights, german plates and stainless exhaust. Still needs loads of fiddly little bits doing  but just enjoying thrashing it around at the moment

Cheers guys :) I live in Headingley gibby. Not happy tonight though cos the fuel pump has started to whine and car keeps kangarooing when accelerating :( Hope fuel pump isn't on the way out as can't really afford a hundred quid for a new one! Gonna check the pump in the tank tomorrow.

The missus used to live in Headingley until a few years ago so I know it reasonably well. :afro:
